UC Davis Health vascular surgeons recently completed their first percutaneous transmural arterial bypass therapy using the DETOUR System. UC Davis is the first hospital in the Sacramento region to offer patients this minimally invasive treatment.
Our pediatric cardiology team utilized virtual reality to treat a patient who was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect despite being in her 60s. By using this technology, interventional cardiologist Frank Ing, M.D., chief of pediatric cardiology, found the best course of action to successfully redirect the patient’s two middle pulmonary veins.
