Free flatware pickup begins Aug. 7 with updated schedule

Scrubs Café in the Education Building and Nourish Café at the 48X Complex have launched a program aimed at reducing single-use plastic waste by eliminating disposable flatware. Join the effort in reducing waste by bringing your own reusable utensils! You’ll receive a discount at the Scrubs Café when you show your reusable utensil and purchase an item that requires use of a utensil. Discounts are currently not available at the Nourish Café.
Pick up a free flatware set
UC Davis Health staff, students and faculty may pick up one free reusable flatware set during the month of August at a pop-up tabling booth outside of the Scrubs Café in the Medical Education breezeway during the following dates and times:
Every Tuesday and Thursday in August, from 11am–1pm
August 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th, 28th (Note: Aug. 5 date has been canceled)
A UC Davis Health badge must be presented at time of pick up. Utensil kits cannot be picked up for others, and only one utensil kit per person is allowed.
Please note: Kits will no longer be available for pick up in the Student Commons.
Additionally, low-cost, reusable flatware sets available for purchase at the cafés.
